This is the first form students learn in Beginning and Intermediate Tai Chi.

Beginning Tai Chi - Tues 6-7 PM
Summer term starts Tuesday night, July 2, 6:00 PM. You're welcome to attend this first class on a free trial basis. Email us using the form below.

Beginning Tai Chi is a one-term program covering the fundamental principles of Tai Chi, Qigong, Zhan Zhuang meditation and Tuishou (push-hands). You'll learn the first section of the 24 Yilu beginning form (see video above), and the complete Dynamic and Primordial Qigong routines, in preparation for all intermediate and advanced Tai Chi and Qigong classes. Classes are approximately 20% theory, 80% practice.

In addition to the required class listed above, the following elective classes are available to program members at no additional cost:
• Morning Qigong - M thru F 8:00-9:00 AM
• Dynamic Qigong - Sat 8:00-9:00 AM
• Primordial Qigong - Sun 8:00-9:00 AM
  • Earth Body, Your Body - Sat 6:00-8:00 PM

  Tuition: $740 per term
Terms are quarterly. There is also a one-time registration fee of $120 (for which you get the basic textbook and school hoodie, as well as getting registered). Tuition is due in full the first week of classes each term, unless you're on medical disability or you're a senior on limited income, in which case special arrangements can be made. We do not provide financial assistance or internships.
